About Financial Computing With Industrial Experience Msc in Queen Mary University of London

You will study a range of modules offered by the School of Mathematical Sciences and the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. Your maths modules will provide a solid understanding of the principles of mathematical finance, while the modules offered within the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science will focus on key aspects of technological implementation.
For your dissertation you will choose a research-level topic in financial computing to explore independently. You will critique results from recent journal articles and potentially implement industry-quality code.
During your industry placement you’ll learn to apply key technical knowledge and skills from your taught modules in the workplace; enhancing your employment potential and understanding where you need to improve. You will secure the placement yourself with support from the Placement Team. This module is only open to students enrolled on the programme of study with integrated placement.
We offer all students the opportunity to take useful additional qualifications, including the prestigious Bloomberg Market Concepts and Microsoft Office Specialist.
