About Pure Mathematics With Abroad in Queen Mary University of London

In the first year of your Pure Mathematics BSc you’ll build a solid foundation across all areas of mathematics, discovering a new world of concepts and ideas while studying pure, discrete, decision mathematics, probability and statistics.

From your second year you’ll concentrate on algebra, geometry and analysis. You’ll encounter new kinds of mathematical objects and investigate their common features and abstract natures, focusing on the intrinsic beauty of pure mathematics more than real-world applications. In your second and third study years you'll have the freedom to choose from a mix of compulsory modules and options, allowing you to focus on the aspects of pure mathematics that most interest you.

​â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹Academic qualification equivalents

• Students who have successfully completed Standard XII examinations will be considered for entry onto our undergraduate degrees across the full disciplinary spectrum.

  As a minimum requirement, students who have taken Central Board/State Board examinations and achieved in the range of 75% to 85% will be considered for first year entry.

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS :6.0 overall including 5.5 in Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking. 
• TOEFL IBT:79 overall including 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading, and 20 in Speaking.
• PTE: 57 overall including 51 in Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking.
