Number plate recognition is in place at our centres

We have Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology at 13 Community Recycling Centres. The system captures and reads images of visitors' vehicle number plates to enable monitoring of usage and to assist in identifying unauthorised users.

Why do we have this scheme?

Historically ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø had agreements with, participating, neighbouring authorities, which allowed ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø residents to use participating authorities community recycling centres, and for the participating authorities residents to use ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø facilities, especially where a facility was closer to residents than their own authorities facility may have been.

ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø residents are now denied access to some neighbouring authorities facilities, therefore, regrettably, ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø will no longer accept waste from non ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø residents free of charge, the cost of disposal for additional non ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø residents waste is an substantial amount

Non ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø residents may still use certain ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø sites, but they will be charged for disposal. The available sites are Epsom , Leatherhead and Guildford Waste Transfer Stations (WTS), where your waste and recycling can be weighed and charged for at the standard trade waste disposal rate.

If you live outside of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø you can dispose of your waste and recycling for free at your local authority site, the list below details some alternative recycling centres for non ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø residents, for more options visit your local authority website or contact them directly.

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead residents

By agreement, residents from the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) are still able to use ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø's Lyne Lane Community Recycling Centres (CRC). This agreement only extends to this site. On arrival residents of RBWM will be asked for proof of address (see above), to confirm this. They will then be given a 'Resident sticker' to display on their windscreen for subsequent visits.
