As the summer ends and a new school year begins now is an excellent time to start something new! One possibility could be learning to play a musical instrument. It's well evidenced that music provides many benefits such as improving memory and focus, increasing confidence and well-being alongside being a fun and creative activity.
ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Arts staff teach music lessons in schools and music centres all over the county; they are highly qualified, experienced teachers who support of students to progress in their learning and foster a life-long love of music. Lessons are available for children of all abilities in a wide variety of instruments, from piano and guitar to trumpet, saxophone, double bass and many more. Lessons can be paid for in instalments and financial support is available for families with low incomes.
As recently stated by parents in our annual parent/ carer survey:
'The teachers are personable and have shown a proactive interest in my children's progression.'
'Lessons have given our children excellent confidence and new skills'
'Lessons are 'affordable with excellent, talented and enthusiastic teachers. Music is very important and should be compulsory at all schools and should be taught by qualified musicians. Thank you ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Arts for making music accessible for all in our county.'
ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Arts also run a wide range of music groups, choirs and ensembles, so if you already play an instrument and would like to gain experience of playing with others do take a look at our ensemble offer
