Connecting ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø's communities

Devolution and Local Government Reorganisation presents an opportunity to strengthen communities and the impact of the council and other partners in local neighbourhoods.

We are establishing Neighbourhood Area Committees to bring people together and create real opportunities for local collaboration and decision making in towns and villages across ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø.

We will be initially piloting these in four areas across ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø. Once fully up and running, these committees will ‘Make It Happen’, giving communities a chance to have their say, inform and influence decision-makers, access information, and work together to truly help their local area thrive. We’re already working closely with communities on important projects via Your Fund ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø.

We want you to be part of this journey – let’s Make It Happen together! By understanding the specific needs of local areas, we can focus on the issues that matter most and make a lasting difference.

We'll be sharing more about how you can be involved in shaping this local engagement to ensure it is both meaningful and effective. Make sure to follow us on social media and to find out more. You can also ask staff in any of our 52 libraries, or our contact centre for the latest information.
